Trump's Late-Night Meltdown: Blasts 'Moron' TV Host in Wild Rant
With just days before taking office, President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Tuesday morning to target late-night host Seth Meyers in a fiery post.
“How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC, a ‘network’ run by a truly bad group of people,” Trump wrote at 1:30 a.m. ET. “I got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months, and every time I watch this moron, I feel an obligation to say how dumb and untalented he is, merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast.”
Trump went on to criticize late-night talk shows as “political contributions” to the Democratic Party and issued a warning to Comcast, NBC's parent company, saying, “Comcast should pay a BIG price for this!”
The president-elect has consistently expressed frustration with late-night shows mocking him. Trump has called Jimmy Kimmel “one of the dumbest human beings ever,” labeled Jimmy Fallon “weak and pathetic,” and dismissed Stephen Colbert as a “total loser.” He often refers to all late-night hosts collectively as “talentless, low-rated CREEPS.”
His disdain for Kimmel is particularly pronounced, frequently targeting him in his comments. During his previous presidency, Trump reportedly even attempted to have Kimmel censored.
This latest rant underscores Trump's long-standing feud with late-night comedy, which he views as biased and hostile toward him and the Republican Party.
