In a heartfelt Instagram video, the Wall Street star opened with, "How's everybody doing? We're off to a pretty rough start for this new year," acknowledging the widespread destruction caused by the fires.

Using the moment to emphasize unity, Douglas stated, "This is not a question of blue states or red states, Republicans or Democrats. This is humanitarian, and this is really, really a major crisis."
He concluded his message with a heartfelt plea: "So please, please, whatever you can, try to help everybody out."
Fans responded with admiration, leaving comments such as, "What an admirable man who cares about others. Let’s hope others follow your generosity," and "What a blessing and well said. Truly appreciated."
